Celebrating Young Voices
In March, The Hive launched its Hive Minds Podcast, giving our young people the opportunity to step into the world of media and broadcasting. The first episode featured Donna Scully, Director of Carpenters Group and Merseyside Woman of the Year 2024, in a conversation led entirely by Hive members.
Community & Fundraising Highlights
The Hive Heroes campaign continued to gain momentum, raising nearly £80,000 in total, with Cammell Laird taking the top spot by contributing a record-breaking £56,577. Elsewhere, we hosted our first Hive 100 Business Breakfast of the year in February, bringing together local business leaders to discuss “Post-COVID Culture: The Legacy Within the Workplace and Community.”
Looking Ahead
As the year continues, we’ll be re-launching a LGBTQ+ group for young people, we have a ‘Family Fun Day’ on 31st May with a focus on SEND and we are hosting the ‘Presidents Cup’ in September, so keep a look out for our future reports and updates.
