With the Summer Holidays just around the corner, excitement is building at The Hive as we prepare to welcome young people for four weeks of fun, friendship and fantastic activities. Whether your child loves sports, getting creative, tackling challenges or simply spending time with friends, our Summer Holiday Club offers something for everyone.
Running from 27th July to 20th August, Holiday Club is designed for Junior members aged 8 to 12 years old, offering a safe, exciting and engaging environment where young people can make new friends, try new activities and enjoy a summer full of memorable experiences.
Sessions take place every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 11am to 3pm, with lunch provided at every session.
Throughout the summer, young people can look forward to:

- Opportunities to build confidence and make new friends

Funded places are available for children who are eligible for Free School Meals through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. Paid places are available for £10 per session.

Holiday Club is available for our Junior members aged 8 to 12 years old.
Yes. All drop-off sessions at The Hive require an active Hive membership. Memberships can be purchased or renewed through our website.
Lunch is provided to all young people attending Holiday Club, along with healthy snacks throughout the day. A tuck shop is also available for those who wish to purchase additional snacks.
We recommend bringing only a small amount of change for the tuck shop. Around £2 is plenty.
We’ll have something for everyone! From climbing to footie, basketball to trampolining, our state of the art facilities are perfect for challenges, games and team activities. For young people who prefer something calmer, there will be arts and crafts, cooking and baking and so much more. We’ll also be heading out on a trip on Monday 10th August (details to be confirmed soon!).
Yes. All sessions at The Hive are accessible to young people with additional needs. We have dedicated inclusion staff who can provide extra support where needed. Our sensory room is available during sessions, and we also have a small number of ear defenders that young people can use.
Yes. Our regular Junior sessions will continue throughout the summer. Wednesday sessions will run on a new summer schedule, and Sunday’s will continue as normal.

The tuck shop will be available during both sessions.
We recommend that young people dress comfortably. For safety reasons:
Trainers should be worn for sporting / active sessions. Sliders, flip-flops and crocs are not suitable for sports activities.
Socks must be worn for trampolining activities.
Shorts must be worn underneath skirts or dresses for climbing activities.
All Holiday Club bookings are completed online.
HAF funded spaces must be booked through the eequ website.
Paid spaces can be booked directly through The Hive website.
