“A force for good” Project Coordinator & Sessional worker (40 hours a week £7.50 – £10 per hour (depending on experience) until April 2019)

The Hive has been awarded funding from the Chancellor of the Exchequer via the Libor Grant scheme to deliver the “Force for Good Project” which aims to support current and ex-serving military families with children or young people aged 8-19 (up to age 25 for anyone with additional needs). The project aims to support these young people to access The Hive, take part in new activities and develop life and social skills. The post holder will work across Wirral, creating strong partnerships with a range of organisations which engage current and ex-service families, enabling young people to access opportunities offered by The Hive. The Project runs until April 2019 and aims to work with 172 young people from former, current or ex-service families, supporting them to make new friends, develop social skills and improve their overall wellbeing as well as provide targeted support as required. This role also includes 20 hours youth work on session with young people as part of The Hive sessional team.

Evening & Weekend Receptionist

(£.7.50 per hour 14 hours fixed term until 31st March 2018)

A vital front of house role, the reception is the first point on contact for Youth Zone members and their parents. Without a welcoming and professional team who are also positive about young people the Youth Zone would not function. Working during the Youth Zone sessions you are responsible first of all for giving every young person a warm welcome into The Hive. You will be responsible for the reception area ensuring young people enter the session smoothly, processing new members, directing phone calls and enquiries, maintaining the membership database efficiently and dealing with parents and carers. The successful candidates need to be fully flexible and able to work 7 days a week. These positions are fixed term until March 31st, 2018 but there is a possibility for a permanent position at the end of the term.
